Aaron Pelchat LCSW

Aaron Pelchat is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2022. Aaron seeks to help clients find the tools that work for them in managing their mental health. He appreciates the power of sending clients back out into the world with something new to try to help improve their quality of life. Aaron's background in Thanatology (the study of death, dying, and bereavement) has been effective more than once in guiding clients on their journey to process and integrate their grief into their lives. Aaron has professional and personal experience working with clients under the LGBTQIA2S+ umbrella working through issues concerning their gender identity, sexual orientation, and related concerns (body image in the queer community, life transitions, navigating difficult family dynamics, and helping these clients find queer empowerment and queer futurity). He believes in empowering clients through a therapeutic relationship that is client-centered and that underscores the importance of working with clients within the context of the systems in which they live, work, and play. Aaron is passionate about working with clients exploring issues surrounding gender, sexuality, and grief.
