What does a first session with you look like?
After our first session, we will be able to identify your goals and areas that you wish to treat in therapy with me. I find that our initial session is a great opportunity for us to assess for goodness of fit relating to our formation of a therapeutic alliance. I feel that our first session is the beginning step in planting seeds of hope into your life as we prepare to embark on your path to greater happiness & wellness.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Adam helps his clients to process and grow their ability to thrive in their lives. Adam incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Positive Psychology into his therapy sessions. These tools can assist clients with navigating issues of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, grief & loss, including acute, complicated grief. Additional treatment tools and methods are utilized as appropriate to aid clients in their journey to wellness.
