What does a first session with you look like?
During the first session, the aim is to get to know the client and context around their reason for seeking therapy. My clients can expect to feel valued and worthy of receiving the help they are. I work to empower individuals to take hold of difficult emotions and shift unhelpful thought patterns. I provide tools/ techniques, as well as clinical insight and perspective in hopes of welcoming confidence to navigate through issues that may surface. My clients should expect to feel like they could move forward beyond therapy having achieved a greater overall sense of balance in their lives.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I utilize a variety of interventions, including creative therapies, client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral, narrative therapy, and mindfulness. I aim to create a treatment approach that best suits your unique interests, personality, goals, and needs.
