What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?

Alis Africano is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Maryland who has been practicing since 2007. Alis has a vast experience working with families and individuals across their lifespan as well as working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, traumatic experiences, domestic violence, grief/loss, blended families, reunification, acculturation process, etc. In addition, she is able to provide services in the Spanish language. Alis wants her clients to feel confident that they can reach their goals in life. She will assist them to explore their potential to work through any situation, to look for their happiness, be successful and complete as a person, as much as they wish and deserve. Alis fosters effective relationships with her clients and/or their families in every step of the therapeutic process. Outside of work, Alis loves to take long car rides with her family, as well as arts and crafts like crochet.
