What does a first session with you look like?
When working with clients I provide education, support, and empathy. I use motivational interviewing techniques to assist clients in determining their own answers and necessary actions to concerns they express.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Methods I often utilize are psychoeducation, cognitive reframing, Dialectical behavioral therapy, in addition to what the client I am working with may need. I aspire to have a fluid approach as a clients needs may transition between sessions. I strive to implement approaches that will most benefit each client at the time we are working together.
