Allyson Luna LPC

Allyson Luna received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Spanish from West Virginia University. She then went on to obtain her Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from Marymount University. After five years of working in mostly forensic settings, Allyson realized that her true passion was building a therapeutic relationship with those going through difficult times and empowering these individuals to meet their full potential. Allyson decided to return to Marymount University and earned her second Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Virginia Counselors Association so that she can stay current with psychological research and trends. Allyson is currently a Resident in Counseling receiving supervision under a Licensed Professional Counselor. Allyson is open to working with most populations; however, she specializes in working with adolescents and adults. The pressures of middle and high school in this day and age are increasingly challenging for a majority of teens. Common problems experienced are anxiety, depression, peer pressure/bullying, self-esteem/body image issues, and substance abuse.
