What does a first session with you look like?
In my work, I take the time to get to know others, understand what they care about and what they seek. I believe in building trust and providing an emotionally safe place to heal and grow. I challenge folks to take closer look and build perspective and learn self-compassion.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I work from a Narrative and Systems Approach, heavily utilizing Brief Solution Focused techniques. I also work within a Trauma Focused CBT framework. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional II. I have been a licensed therapist since 2007 and worked with multiple populations. I am licensed in Virginia and Texas and can see clients from these states only at this time.
