What does a first session with you look like?
Our first session will be an intake session in which I will gather your background information, and current concerns, provide you with a diagnosis, and formulate your personal treatment goals. In the second session, you will be provided with a psychoeducational segment and will be front-loaded with coping skills that we will continue to utilize going forth. It is my goal that with every session you begin to feel increasingly stronger, feel supported, and work towards improved daily functioning.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use various treatment methods and tools based on each individual's needs. Treatment methods include CBT, Trauma-focused CBT, psychoeducation, Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure Therapy, along with providing coping skills including grounding and mindfulness.
