What does a first session with you look like?

The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Clients are guided and supported as they work through their unique mental health challenges – and, along the way, shown the life-changing power of therapy.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. I am an empathetic counselor who values rapport as the most important aspect of the counseling experience.

What should we know about your experiences and background?

Amy Chase is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has many years of experience at different employment levels within the human services field. She has facilitated intensive family counseling, clinic-based outpatient, and school-based counseling services in the past. "You ll find me as an outgoing and energetic clinician who values rapport and trust as one of the most important steps in counseling," she says. "I understand that seeking a counselor and beginning this journey can be scary. This is why I will work hard at making it a comfortable experience, where your voice is heard and validated."
