What is your style/approach to therapy?

I utilize strategies from a variety of therapeutic models, however, my areas of focus are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.

What does a first session with you look like?

In effort to move clients forward towards their goals, I utilize homework and behavior modification, as well as goal-setting. For example, the client might have an overall goal of reducing feelings of anxiety. A homework assignment might be to log anxiety symptoms so that we can identify triggers. Once triggers are identified, we work to change behaviors that contribute to those triggers (when possible) while replacing negative behaviors with positive ones (i.e., increasing physical activity).
