What does a first session with you look like?

During the first meeting, I am interested in understanding what your concerns and needs are. I believe developing a strong bond between myself and the client is vital to successful treatment. I strive to come alongside you to create a goal and plan that you believe will move you toward the life you want to have. Many times, at the end of the session, a small focus will be established to help the client be more intentional with an aspect of the treatment work until the next session.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

Combining mindfulness-based techniques along with a body-focused modality called Somatic Experiencing, I help bring the mind and the body into peace and coherence. I am also a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist as well. I also utilize a Cognitive-Behavioral Approach when needed.
