What does a first session with you look like?
The focus of our first session will be getting to know you through completing an intake assessment. This will help me to learn your background information and your concerns. Together we will set treatment goals. The second session will focus on the goals that we developed together from the first session. This session will include psychoeducation and identification of the need for coping skills/strategies.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use multiple treatment methods and tools based on each individual's needs. Treatment methods include psychoeducation, CBT, Trauma-focused CBT, function-based behavior support planning, emotional regulation skills, motivational interviewing, mindfulness & grounding activities, and coping skill practice.
