What does a first session with you look like?
During the initial session, we will begin the rapport-building process and what is known as "initial information gathering." We will review your expectations and goals for therapy. I will use standardized tools to help us identify "where you are at" in relation to your goals, and where you would like to get to, and then together we create a plan on how to get you there.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
-Using a Person-Centered approach to build strong rapport and the relationship between us (therapist and you/your child). -Using Somatic-based interventions to help physically release trapped emotions. -Using Cognitive-Behavioral techniques to identify and change unhelpful/destructive thoughts and behaviors and replace them with ones that will lead you to create the relationships you want and live out your fullest potential. -You begin to make incremental but lasting changes through the creation of new patterns of thinking and behaving.
