What does a first session with you look like?
My therapy is grounded in three principles that I hold as truths. 1. A good therapist is aware that they do not have the answers, but rather the tools to help the client find the answers within. 2. Life is full of lessons that constantly repeat themselves over and over again. The design of these lessons is to teach us tools to help us get to the best version of ourselves. Our job is to get the tools past the test and prepare for it the next time it comes around. 3. EVERYTHING we go through is designed for our good. It is our job to pull the good out of our challenges to help grow us into the best version of ourselves.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
My treatment is very person-centered. I use a combination of CBT, motivational interviewing and solution focus therapy to achieve optimal outcomes.
