What does a first session with you look like?

The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. Clients are guided and supported as they work through their unique mental health challenges – and, along the way, shown the life-changing power of therapy.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. With a person-centered, solution-focused approach, I will work with you to amplify skills and build support around your areas of need.

What should we know about your experiences and background?

Andrew Coyle is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Before his move to Thriveworks, he worked in the Philadelphia area with underprivileged individuals, providing positive and compassionate care to clients.Andrew s clinical experience has demonstrated his ability to build positive therapeutic relationships with clients of all ages and backgrounds. This clinical expertise has helped Andrew s clients to reach their therapeutic goals, specifically with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, familial stressors, and Autism. A life-long Philadelphian, Andrew first grew an interest to help others from St. Joseph s Preparatory School. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York, and his Master s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Loyola University of Maryland. Andrew provides a patient-centered, solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral approach to expand client insight into the stressors which reduce your quality of life while empowering them to build the skills to reduce the impact of and to better manage those stressors. While his therapeutic tool kit encompasses skills from a variety of different styles, Andrew primarily utilizes acceptance and commitment therapy, which blends cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress relief, as the vehicle for change.
