What does a first session with you look like?
At our first meeting, consider it more of a 'getting to know you.' Well talk about what to anticipate in future therapy sessions, goals to focus on, and building a rapport to make sure we're a good fit. I see goals as guidelines for sessions. They may not always be the main focus, but we do circle back to them. What is your style/approach to therapy?
I have an eclectic toolbox when it comes to therapy. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all-modality. I think focusing on strengths, problem solving and resiliency skills, and a host of other positive techniques can be used at any given time. All of my sessions with Grow are currently virtual sessions.
