Under Clinical Supervision
Angie Mix, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, MFTC.0014534 is practicing under the supervision of Julie Piper (Colorado, LMFT, 0001217) at Inner Peace Psychotherapy.
Please, note: A clinician listed as being “clinically supervised” is completing clinical hours toward their licensure. They have one or more fully licensed clinical supervisors that often have special training to become supervisors. They consult with their supervisor(s) on all of their cases, which means that, when working with them, you are getting the time and expertise of multiple therapists in your treatment.
What does a first session with you look like?
The first session prioritizes getting to know the clients dynamics, including communication style and emotional expression. After establishing a therapeutic space, we can discuss a dynamic approach to align with the clients needs and goals.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I am deeply passionate about mediating couples therapy, as it offers a unique opportunity to empower couples to navigate their challenges and create lasting solutions. Mediation allows me to facilitate open and honest communication, fostering a safe space where both partners feel heard and understood.
What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
My journey to becoming a Marriage Family therapist is due in part to my passion for understanding human relationships. Bearing witness to the power of connection and the inherent challenges that may arise within families sparks a desire to help others navigate their emotional landscapes.
