What does a first session with you look like?
As a client, you can expect care, compassion, empathy, and a listening ear. During the first session, we will begin to establish rapport and begin to understand your needs, concerns, and purpose for seeking counseling. We will establish clear-cut measurable goals and move towards meeting those goals.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Experienced licensed mental health counselor. A doctor of clinical psychology, a licensed professional counselor in the state of KS, and a licensed professional clinical counselor in CA. Spent over 15 years providing counseling in the military community. Extensive experience with marriage and family, grief, PTSD, stress, anxiety, career, divorce, couples and depression. Background in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and emotional-focused therapy (EFT).
