What does a first session with you look like?
I can provide support and guidance, including working together in order for you to overcome the present struggles you are experiencing. My goal is to guide you as you rediscover who you are beyond the affects of trauma and mental health illness, find your self-worth and boost your self-esteem, and hold that space where you find your happiness.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
The therapeutic modalities I practice are CBT, DBT, MI, Solution-Focused, TIP (Transition to Independence Process) model, feminist, and a variety of integrated approaches to work collaboratively to help you change the way you think and feel to help you meet your unique needs. My approach is empathetic listening, transparency, exploratory, humanistic, trauma-informed, client-centered, psychodynamic, and strengths-based.
