What does a first session with you look like?

During the first session, we will review the intake forms, confidentiality, mandated reporting, insurance, billing, and anxiety and depression assessments if applicable. The first session allows us to get to know each other, explore why you're seeking therapy, and decide if we are the right clinical fit based on your current needs. We will explore your goals, strengths, needs, abilities, and changes you'd like to make. I'm also happy to help you find a therapist that meets your needs to ensure the best treatment for you! I appreciate the organic flow of sessions and will ask how you'd like to utilize each appointment. Sessions can be whatever you need them to be: a place to blow off steam, vent, release, reflect, relax, and just be. I'm here to hold space for you.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I utilize an eclectic approach to help individuals embrace their abilities, claim their power, and promote total well-being. I believe it is important to meet each individual where they are at and utilize a variety of modalities to meet their needs. I utilize a mix of but not limited to Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength Based, Solution Focused, in addition to energy work, alternative, and progressive approaches. I am open to helping you find resources and exploring different tools & approaches to figure out what works best for you.
