What does a first session with you look like?
The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. This will enable you to receive the very best care, as a personalized treatment plan will then be developed for subsequent sessions. Thriveworks helps people live happier, more fulfilling lives. I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems.

Ashley Kitchen-Sweet is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Massachusetts who has over 5 years of experience providing clinical assessment and therapeutic care to adults, families/couples, and children seeking help with depression/anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and family/couples issues.She is very committed to providing an easy transition into therapy for her clients and is passionate about their progress. Ashley completed her Bachelor's degree in Sociology at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Sheutilizes collaborative, strengths-based, cognitive behavioral methods (CBT), mindfulness-based, and solutions-focused approaches to therapy. Ashleyalways maintains creative thinking, flexibility, and awareness necessary to best meet the needs of each unique individual/couple. This means that Ashley tailors your treatment approach to your needs and strengths while being sensitive to your cultural identity and lifestyle choices. Ashley s style is warm and supportive. She seeks to provide a caring relationship with you in order to assist in building on your strengths and better collaborate with you towards meeting your goals and living a meaningful life you value and desire. Ashley believes collaboration is very important in a therapeutic relationship and she is very eager to establish concrete goals and steps for you to help you overcome your current problems.
