What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Beth McGraw is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who received her PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2006. She completed her pre-doctoral internship with the United States Air Force and continued as an active-duty officer and staff clinical psychologist with the Air Force through 2009. She has been practicing in the civilian outpatient mental health setting since 2012. Dr. McGraw is a cognitive-behavioral psychologist who strives to provide empirically supported treatments that fit the individual needs of each patient. She enjoys working with individuals who have goals for increasing awareness of the interconnectedness of their thoughts, emotions, neurotype and behaviors and who are interested in learning ways to manage chronic or acute difficulties with anxiety, depression, trauma history, executive functioning and/or relationship dynamics. In her spare time, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons at home and around the local area, exploring natural landscapes, museums, libraries and parks.
