What does a first session with you look like?
Clients and their families can expect a down-to-earth approach to solving the problems associated with aging, chronic illnesses, memory impairment, and a host of other issues plaguing the elderly population.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I pride myself on being an eclectic social worker with an extensive bag of tricks to pull from. If prompted to narrow down my practice model I would say that I focus on cognitive behavioral therapy for depression and anxiety and validation therapy as an alternative to reality orientation when working with those with impaired memory.
