What does a first session with you look like?
Clients can expect in the first session for us to get to know each other a little as well as what you are wanting to primarily address. After this, we can use a number of different ways to address in the time that we work together, whatever is holding you back as an individual or a couple. Being able to be transparent and self-reflection are the keys to success in therapy.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use a rather eclectic method with clients drawing on evidence-based techniques such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy while also using what is decided between myself and the client would be most helpful. For couples, I use primarily the Gottman Method for Couples Counseling to be able to address and unearth levels of conflict that perhaps through time have built up between the two clients.
