What is your style/approach to therapy?
I love narrative therapy, we all have stories of our lives and so do those around us. This is how we not only view ourselves but how we view the world around us. In therapy we learn to tell a different story about ourselves one that is not as harsh, filled with more self love and caring. One that we can see where we can weave a softer ending. I am also trained and utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which utilizes mindfulness as it teaches new ways of thinking and being, for a better quality of life. And EMDR Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for Trauma
What does a first session with you look like?
Our first session will be spent getting to know each other, what we want to work on, setting goals and expectations and how best as a collaborative team we will move forward.
