The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. I am here to guide you, listen to you, and be there for you on your journey to work on yourself and to help you learn new skills and ways to cope with daily life stressors.

Brandon Gommer is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. He has over 6 years of experience working in the mental health field. Brandon's experience in the field is vast and he has worked with individuals of adolescent and adult ages with various intensities of anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief and loss, and daily life stressors. Brandon has a passion working with people and giving them a space they can finally feel safe in to talk about their difficulties or the goals they want to work on in treatment. Brandon completed his master s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at West Chester University. Brandon comes from a person-centered and trauma-informed approach to treatment. He uses dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and various other treatment modalities, as treatment is individualized to you and your needs. Brandon is here to listen, understand, be compassionate, and help you gain new insights into your struggles. Brandon's approach is considerate, kind, genuine, and non-judgmental. Brandon's goal is to support you and help you accomplish your goals and gain invaluable insight into your life stressors.
