The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. Facing whatever life throws at us is tough! I am here to help, no matter what.

Brian completed his Master of Social Work at Appalachian State University with high honors. He has had bumps in the road on this life journey which, blended with his professional expertise, provides a unique and effective perspective in offering guidance and support to people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds. Brian utilizes a multimodal approach tailored to the specific needs of his clients. He specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and cognitive processing therapy, though ultimately collaborates with his client to best serve their needs.
