What does a first session with you look like?
My sessions are empowering and I will encourage you to challenge your current thought process. I help my clients with reframing, and looking at situations through a different lens. Helpful and powerful coping skills are learned as well.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I work collaboratively with my client, providing a safe, non-judgmental space to work through difficult seasons and situations. I firmly believe that my client is the expert in their life. I work from a person centered and strength based perspective focusing more on the person as a whole and their strengths rather than the problem. I will often use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help my clients really understand the impact that our thoughts have on feelings and behavior.
