What does a first session with you look like?

After our first session, we will begin to work on trust-building, and setting goals which are meaningful to you. At that point, the sessions will be about you and your needs, and at each session, you should come away with more tools to use and more insight about your unique situation. One of my overarching intentions is to help you develop more self compassion which will in turn influence every other part of your life for the good.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I have had training in and regularly utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, self-compassion and mindfulness, client-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma training, body image, and grief work. I have also had training in adhd and executive functioning, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma (Body Keeps the Score), play therapy, lgbtqia, sexual health, social justice.
