What does a first session with you look like?

Our initial sessions will begin a process of sharing and learning. Continued sessions will involve the work of developing tools to navigate your daily life and knowledge of oneself. Knowledge means choice, in therapy we explore and uncover information that will allow you to guide your goals with intention. Along the way together we will discuss triggers, increase awareness regarding the impact of thoughts on your behaviors and decisions, and explore the knowledge and skills needed to live a balanced life. I intentionally keep a small case load of clients so I can deliver a quality service to you.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I tend to use a more holistic approach to counseling and allow for the emotional, mental, physical and spiritual needs of an individual to be incorporated. I utilize solution focused therapy, trauma informed care, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help guide our work together. I believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes in their life if supported through the process.
