What does a first session with you look like?
Initial sessions are typically around 60 minutes in length. We will discuss your history as well as how things are for you currently. Medications are prescribed at the first visit when appropriate. Follow-up appointments are typically every 3-4 weeks until stabilized on medications. Once you're feeling better and we've found the medications that work well for you we can follow up every 2-3 months. Some people already have an established treatment regimen and schedule with me for refills only. In that case, we will meet every 3 months for refills.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I want you to be involved in your care. While I specialize in clinical decision-making and medication management, you know you best and I will always value your input. I want you to feel empowered in your recovery and be part of the decision-making process.
