What does a first session with you look like?

My goal is to help clients achieve treatment goals & improve their overall wellbeing: My focus is to create safe & supportive space where clients can feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Improved self-awareness: working together, clients can expect to gain a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings, & behaviors, & how they impact their lives. Coping strategies: I will work with clients to develop coping strategies & skills that they can use to manage their symptoms & challenges in their daily lives. Personal growth: Many clients find that therapy helps them to grow as individuals & make positive changes in their lives. Ultimately, the specific goals and outcomes of therapy will depend on the individual needs & goals of each client.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I tailor my approach to the needs & preferences of each individual client. Some of the treatment methods & tools that I may use include: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT): This is a popular treatment that focuses on helping individuals id and change negative patterns of thinking & behavior. Solution-Focused Therapy: This is a goal-oriented treatment that helps individuals id & work towards achievable solutions to their problems. Motivational Interviewing: This is a collaborative treatment that helps individuals explore & resolve ambivalence about making changes in their lives. Mindfulness-Based Approaches: These approaches involve teaching clients mindfulness techniques to help them become more present in the moment. I may also use other tools and techniques as needed.
