What does a first session with you look like?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and includes some information gathering. This helps us develop the foundation we will need as we move forward. My goal is to create a space that is welcoming and safe where you know that you are valued, heard, and supported.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
To meet the unique needs of each client, I use an individualized, holistic approach blending ideas from a variety of theoretical approaches. In this practice, my role is to identify evidence-based interventions that provide clients with the best chance for healing and growth. Some clients prefer a partnership in therapy, while others receive greater benefit from a more directive approach. Using an integrated approach provides opportunities to meet clients where they are, and to focus on their natural strengths in our work together.
