What does a first session with you look like?
In our first session, we will take some time to get to know one another as I learn about some of what you might want to accomplish in therapy and what brings you in. This will also be a great time for you to see if I am the right fit for you! As we move forward, we will work together toward achieving your therapeutic goals and working through anything that comes up along the way! By the end of our journey, you will feel more empowered in your choices, you will have more skills to manage that which we cannot control, and you find relief from the anxieties that come from a world filled with unknowns.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I use a variety of modalities and techniques in sessions including Choice Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and the Personal Centered Approach. The most important tool that I will utilize in our sessions is our therapeutic relationship. These are courageous conversations and I will hold you and your experiences only with positive regard.
