What does a first session with you look like?
Patients can expect to gain a better understanding of their mental health condition, including its causes, symptoms, and how it impacts their daily life. The patient will learn coping strategies to manage stress, anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges. Each patient's treatment plan is tailored to their individual needs, preferences, and goals. This personalized approach increases the likelihood of successful outcomes.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Dr. Egemasi, works collaboratively with the patient to set treatment goals. These goals are individualized and based on the patient's unique needs and preferences. The patient's involvement in the goal-setting process increases their commitment to the treatment plan. When necessary, Dr. Egemasi may prescribe medication to manage mental health symptoms. She will closely monitor the patient's response to medications, address any side effects and adjust treatment as needed.
