What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Chandra A. Pierson-Rye is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Illinois who has been practicing since 2016. She has over 20 years of diverse clinical experience. She received her Bachelor's in Science & Nursing (BSN) from MacMurray college, her Master's in Nursing & Science (MSN) from Maryville University, and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Southern Illinois University "? Edwardsville (SIU-E). She is a member of several organizations, including Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. Chandra is passionate about improving access to mental health services, providing affordable, high-quality evidence-based care. That is culturally competent, individualized, and geared towards the patient's goal for their mental health. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, working on DIY projects, caring for her many plants, taking pictures, spending time with her family, and her fur baby.
