What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Charity Matlock is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. Charity became a therapist because she sees value in every individual's life journey. She loves seeing people not just heal but thrive as they move forward and make changes that reflect their happier and healthier mental headspace. Charity truly believes that life is all about figuring out who you are, what you want out of life, and learning how to get what you want "? and enjoying the process! All while maintaining that ever elusive " "� Charity is passionate about working with clients with ADHD and assisting all clients overcome anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjust to life's ups and downs. Charity received her Master of Arts and Education in Mental Health Counseling from Teacher's College, Columbia University. Charity uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness Techniques, Multicultural Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. These techniques are aimed at helping clients make the changes they'd like to see, including living a healthier, more satisfying and self-directed life.
