Christopher Reardon LICSW

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified alcohol and drug counselor, I specialize in treating people with substance use disorders and people with mood and anxiety disorders. I have experience working with people with substance use disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings. I also work with people who experience, severe and persistent mental illness. Working as a team, we will create goals to help you reconsider the unhelpful, self-critical voice, your inner saboteur. As we uncover those dialogues, we will acknowledge and process your fear, and when you are ready, any shameful or painful parts you have yet to uncover. We will consider the origin of these thoughts, and imagine what life will look like once they no longer intrude in your day-to-day life.

In my work, I incorporate the teachings and techniques of William Miller and Stephen Rollnick, Irving Yalom, Judith Beck, Judith Herman, Brene Brown, and Carlo DiClemente. Additionally, I am comfortable and knowledgeable about mutual support recovery, including 12-Step and Smart recovery. To accomplish this I will use an eclectic approach in our therapeutic sessions: motivational interviewing, harm reduction, CBD, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
