What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Christy Gardner is a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has been practicing since 2015. She graduated from Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia, with a Master's degree in counselor education. Christy believes in a person-centered approach, that people are resourceful, capable of self-understanding and self-direction. Her main role is not that of the expert, but a trained professional who honors clients and their stories and seeks to build a trusting relationship in which they feel deeply heard and valued. Her main areas of focus are grief and loss, depression, and anxiety. In her spare time, Christy enjoys exercising, spending time with family, and engaging in activities that promote professional and spiritual growth.
