What does a first session with you look like?
I will meet you wherever you are on your journey and provide a warm, nonjudgmental atmosphere for you to feel comfortable working on your issues. I will help you identify your strengths, weaknesses, and blind spots. We will work together to change old patterns that aren't working and build new skills. Often, there is homework, not necessarily in the traditional sense but as a way to take what you are doing in counseling out into your life and put it into practice.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I have a holistic and eclectic approach to therapy. I consider each client's individual needs and use various treatment modalities, including but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, EFT and Positive Psychology.
