What does a first session with you look like?

Following our first session, during which time we will begin to develop a therapeutic relationship. I will ask you what your goals are in therapy (i.e. reduce depression/anxiety, increase my supportive network, or become social). From there we will explore what would be the best approach to meet your treatment goals.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

In my practice I use a psychodynamic approach, supported by cognitive behavioral therapy or more focused short term therapy as appropriate.
