What does a first session with you look like?
Once we complete the first intake session together we will have a direction that we can be headed. I like to ask clients to give it 3-4 sessions to get comfortable and begin working together. As we move forward in sessions, we will continually assess that I am meeting your needs and you are learning and growing in a way that is benefiting your life and moving you toward the goals decided upon at intake.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
I am an eclectic counselor and don't believe that one tool fits everyone. I draw from DBT, CBT, and Client-Centered Therapy to assist in client growth. I also employ the Gottman Method for relationship and family counseling and find the attachment theory to also be useful as we work together.
