What was your path to becoming a therapist? What inspired you to choose this profession?
Connie Robinette is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Tennessee who has been practicing since 2009. She earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing at East Tennessee State University. Two principles have guided Connie throughout her nursing career. First, she views the patient/provider relationship as an equal partnership; patients provide a history of their mental health issues and she offers her best treatment options, unique to each patient. This process involves input and opportunity to ask questions from both partners to reach a jointly developed treatment plan. And second, Connie feels it is important to meet everyone where they are in life. She believes we are all unique and have a story to tell, we are the sum of all our parts, not a medical diagnosis. In her spare time, Connie loves to read and likes all genres of music. Family is the richest thing she possesses.
