The first session, as with all Thriveworks therapists, will involve talking through your needs and goals for therapy — whether those involve managing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, or another mental health challenge. What is your style/approach to therapy?

I offer a variety of counseling approaches including CBT / Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems. I am an experienced counselor, ready to help you take the first step into a brighter future for yourself.

What should we know about your experiences and background?

Dr. Courtney Washington, known as Dr. C, has been providing counseling services for over 14 years. She enjoys working with a diverse population, and is able to provide services to fit the individual need of the client served. Dr. Washington has worked in the specialty areas of depression, stress/anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationships, anger management, addictions, substance abuse, ADHD, and PTSD. Dr. Courtney Washington has a Doctor of Education degree in Pastoral and Community Counseling from Argosy University, and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Washington also has specialty training in trauma-focused therapy and pre-marital/marital counseling. Her degree and training enable her to provide a unique counseling approach to each individual client, where they will learn to accept life, live life, and love life. It takes time to achieve your goals.
