What does a first session with you look like?
Expect patient-centered care where the person feels they have been heard and their issues have been addressed. This happens through Dave's attention to detail, providing validation, and accountability with a plan for behavioral change and life-changing symptom relief. (Due to legality, Schedule II medications such as Adderall, Vyvanse, Xanax, Klonopin, etc. CANNOT be prescribed via Telehealth)
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Dave is not just a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner; he is also human, the same as his patients. In using this approach, judgement is not in his vocabulary. Dave focuses on the person not the disease with active listening and psychotherapeutic communication utilizing CBT, IPT, Mindfulness, and Behavioral Activation techniques. LGBTQ+ sensitive
