What is your style/approach to therapy?
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I incorporate multiple client-centered approaches within the constructs of session. I pull from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Self-Compassion and Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy.
What does a first session with you look like?
Psychotherapy is a process. For this process, to work in the client’s benefit the therapeutic relationship is a collaboration between the client and the clinician. I strongly hold belief of being authentic, providing a space of respect and dignity for all my clients. In this world, every person is a unique blessing. and we all can learn something from each other.
