What does a first session with you look like?

Therapy can help you manage anxiety, depression, and improve how you feel and think about yourself. Therapy can improve the quality of your relationships and your life. Therapy can make a positive difference in your day-to-day life by helping you become aware of your self limiting and self defeating thought patterns, moods, and behaviors, and by giving you the tools and coping skills to make a change for the better. My style and personality is nurturing and supportive, yet very direct and truthful. I use a person-centered, strengths based, and holistic approach to meet your needs and accomplish your goals.

What is your style/approach to therapy?

I use evidence based treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness, which are highly effective in alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression, and changing unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns. I am also a Christian Counselor, and can use methods tailored for your needs.
