What does a first session with you look like?
Together, we will explore the reasons you chose to be brave and put trust in another person to help you figure out your road. Through our sessions you will feel heard, be able to express your thoughts and feelings, as well as your triumphs and fears. We will identify ways in which you can improve your areas of struggles and move forward toward your goals. Suggestions for work between our sessions may include journaling, researching, engaging in specific activities, goals for the week or topics to consider.
What is your style/approach to therapy?
Leave the technical therapeutic jargon to me, and let’s focus on building a relationship, trust and identify concrete behavioral changes to move you to a better place in your life. I will listen without judgment, ask challenging questions to pinpoint the area of change you seek, and hold you accountable to making small steps are in achieving your goals.
