I'm probably not too different than you are, in fact I believe many of us are more similar than we are different. I have been described as "warm" and "kind" and even "fun" which might be my fav. I think therapy can and should be fun sometimes! I want my clients to look forward to their sessions, I do this by truly taking the time to get to know you and support you in a collaborative way. I mix in humor with heartfelt sessions. I don't think therapy needs to be heavy every session and I do my best to make sure we have a good mix throughout.

Our first session will be all about you! I really like to take the time to understand what is bringing you to therapy at this time. I will also share more about me and how the vibe of therapy will go. I do my best to make you feel comfortable. I'm not a stuffy person, typically my clients and I tend to get along pretty quickly. I'm a virgo, enneagram 3, introvert, so the vibes tend to be organized, calm, and welcoming. :)

My work history started out in corporate. I was the only woman of color on my team for 6 years. I navigated the landscape with learned finesse and help with mentors. Along the way, I got burnt out as my perfectionism was giving me struggles in my early 20s. I resigned from my team and took one year off work to explore my interests and begin my healing journey. I began therapy and saw a shaman for guidance. During this period I began to work for myself taking my corporate skill set and bubbly demeanor to social media. I was a full time influencer and life coach for two years. This work was so fun and allowed me to connect with others, but I wanted to go deeper, I decided to apply to grad school and started my journey to where I am today, a mental health therapist.
