What is your style/approach to therapy?
Life is a journey. Sometimes we encounter things that are out of our control and may feel as if no one else understands. I trust in the human ability to grow even when faced with obstacles. During times of personal questioning or struggle, I rely on the counseling process to elicit the best forms of self-reflexivity in order to prosper. I believe answers to our problems reside within us. Feelings that result from experiences in life are unique to each person, and they each deserve a partner to work through their difficulties. I have strived to create a warm and supportive environment that will foster your growth. I focus on a mixture of solution focused and Cognitive behavioral questions and homework to drive your growth.
What does a first session with you look like?
During your first session you can expect explorative questions to identify what brought you to therapy and a conversation on barriers, symptoms and contributing factors that currently impact your difficulties. As the sessions progress, you be provided with resources and homework to guide you in developing strategies and skills to manage symptoms and improve growth personally and in relationships.
